Worship

At Riverlawn Christian Church, we believe that worship is a central and transformative part of our Christian journey. Whether through songs or through praises, it’s a time where we come together as one community to honor God, express our gratitude, and seek His presence. Our worship begins with biblical accuracy and is rooted in the truths of scripture.

What is worshiP

Worship is more than singing songs or attending a church service. It’s the moving and heartfelt response to the love and goodness of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. Worship is an act of surrendering ourselves before God, laying down our worldly desires, acknowledging His sovereignty, and giving him all the glory that is due His name. In worship, we encounter the presence of God, and our lives are transformed by His power and His grace when we enter into a relationship with him alone.

Our Worship Services

At Riverlawn, we offer two types of worship services. At 8 a.m. we sing traditional hymns, while at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. we sing contemporary worship songs. We believe that through traditional or contemporary music we can still encounter Christ and have a service that resonates with your heart. You will find identical teaching and service elements in all three, with the only exception being the music style and song selections.

worshiP Beyond Sunday Services

While our weekly Sunday services bring together a community of believers and are an integral part of worship, we also encourage you to live a lifestyle motivated by worship that is beyond the church walls. Worship is not confined to a certain time or place, but should permeate every aspect of our lives. We seek to cultivate a community where worship becomes a daily practice, guiding our hearts, words, and actions and becoming more like Christ each day.
